Your journey
- 01Assessment
By appointment. We check your practical skill, service knowledge, and English, and give you a written result recommending your best-fit programme.
- 02Diploma
You complete one of five City & Guilds Level 2 diplomas through an approved centre or authorised training partner.
- 03Readiness in parallel
English, grooming, and interview preparation run alongside your diploma, not after it.
- 04Industrial attachment
Six months of practical work in a hotel, resort, restaurant, or similar operation for your role.
- 05STCW safety training
STCW Basic 5 and Passenger Ship Safety are delivered and certified by approved maritime institutes. BIWD coordinates the batches; it does not issue the certificates.
